Those prices can move with promotions.
The costs people forget
- Gaming PC: some software and launch monitors need Windows hardware with a capable GPU.
- Software: course libraries and third-party connectors can be annual subscriptions.
- Mat quality: cheap hitting surfaces can be hard on joints and may wear quickly.
- Projector: throw distance, brightness and resolution matter more than the headline spec.
- Electrical / lighting: dedicated outlets, cable management and dimmable lighting improve a permanent room.
- Protection: side barriers, ceiling protection and wall padding are not optional if misses can reach people or property.
Budget rule: Keep 15–25% of the budget uncommitted until the room geometry, software and projector plan are confirmed. Spending every dollar on the launch monitor is how incomplete simulators happen.
